The Artist behind Kauai Art Class

Hi, I’m Ash! I’ve been living on Kauai for almost 12 years, fell in love with a Hawaiian surfer boy who is also a lifeguard and lover of all things ocean. We have 2 daughters in preschool and have been enjoying raising them through sandy, sunny beach days and surfing with them (because yes, I love to surf too!). I’ve painted all my life and loved art, but took a break from it in high school because my art was never as “good as” the person’s next to me. I let that thought defeat me for a few years until I realized I can’t continue to get better at art (or anything!) if I just stop doing it. Especially if I am always comparing. After overcoming that mental block, I now have FUN with creating, enjoying art, and loving colors. But I especially love to show others of all ages and skill levels that they are not bad at art, we’re all working on it in some way and form! I’m the instructor who won’t lie to you, I’ll keep encouraging you the entire way while also giving legit pointers and hyping you up! It’s truly an honor and a blast to teach others how fun painting can be!
